Cancellation & No-Show Policy

We understand that schedules can change. This policy helps us reserve appointment times fairly and account for travel, preparation, printing, and other expenses incurred before an appointment.

Cancellations More Than 12 Hours Before the Appointment

Appointments canceled more than 12 hours before the scheduled appointment time may be canceled without charge.

Cancellation fee: $0

Cancellations Between 12 Hours and 1 Hour Before the Appointment

Appointments canceled between 12 hours and 1 hour before the scheduled appointment time may be subject to a late-cancellation fee.

Late-cancellation fee: $5

Cancellations Less Than 1 Hour Before the Appointment

Appointments canceled less than 1 hour before the scheduled appointment time may be subject to a last-minute cancellation fee because the appointment time has been reserved and travel preparation may have begun.

Last-minute cancellation fee: $10

No-Show Appointments

A client may be considered a no-show when:

• The signer is not present or available at the scheduled time

• The notary cannot access the appointment location

• The client does not respond to reasonable attempts to make contact

• The client fails to provide notice that the appointment cannot proceed

No-show appointments may be charged:

• The applicable cancellation fee

• Mobile travel fees

• Printing or document-preparation expenses already incurred

• Other previously disclosed service-related expenses

Travel and Unsuccessful Appointments

Travel fees may still apply once the notary has departed for the appointment, including when the notarization cannot proceed because:

• The signer is unavailable

• Acceptable identification is not provided

• The document is incomplete

• Required witnesses are unavailable

• The signer is unwilling or unable to proceed

• The appointment location is inaccessible

• The requested notarization cannot legally be completed

Travel fees are separate from cancellation fees and are generally nonrefundable once travel has begun.

Changes or Cancellations by Class Act Notary and Signing

If Class Act Notary and Signing must cancel an appointment, the customer will not be charged a cancellation fee. Any prepaid amount for services not provided will be refunded or applied to a rescheduled appointment, as appropriate.

Acknowledgment of Policy

By requesting and confirming an appointment, the customer acknowledges this Cancellation and No-Show Policy and agrees to pay applicable fees that were disclosed before the appointment was confirmed.
